— a passionate and experienced German tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience, helping both children and adults find joy and confidence in learning German.
As a native-level speaker and a lifelong language enthusiast, I’ve worked with complete beginners, high school students, professionals, and heritage speakers.
What truly drives my teaching is empathy. I know what it’s like to learn a language — to struggle with grammar, feel unsure about pronunciation, or hit a plateau.
I’ve been there, and I understand how important it is to have guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies along the way.

A Solid Foundation in Teaching & Academia
With a degree in Business Economics, I’ve taught at the University of Siegen in Germany as a lecturer, supervisor, research fellow, and proofreader.
During this time, I guided students through writing term papers and theses, crafting presentations, and speaking confidently in front of audiences – all skills that translate into my teaching today.
Beyond the Classroom – Real-World Language Experience
In addition to teaching, I provide German translation and text analysis services, ensuring clarity, cultural accuracy, and professional insight – ideal for academic, literary, or business contexts.
I also collaborated with an award-winning Australian author, translating German books and helping develop a publication about German female artists.
This literary and cultural work sharpened my sense for both the precision and emotion that language can carry.

Why I Teach the Way I Do
I once sat on the other side – as a German high school student.
I know how challenging it can be. The grammar rules, the long words, the pronunciation hurdles… it’s not always easy.
But with dedication, the right support, and a bit of encouragement, I saw what was possible: a university degree, a teaching role at a respected institution, and a career working across languages and cultures.
If I could do it, so can you.
What to Expect from My Courses & Individual Classes
I teach:
- Children with a German background who want to improve their reading and writing skills
- High school students (German HSC, IB, VCE, QCE or other pathways) who are preparing specifically for their German exams
- Adults learning German for professional or personal reasons – including preparation for A1–C2 exams and TestDaF
Each lesson is tailored to the individual – with one clear goal:
Building confidence through personalised support, real conversation, and motivating tasks.
